Fabric Services is a domestic and global textile source for extensive offerings of Fabric, Vinyl, Leather, and polyurethane-coated fabrics for the Marine, Heavy Truck, Recreational Vehicle, Transportation, Specialty Vehicle, and Health Care industries. In addition to sourcing the primary textile, our value-added services we offer include flame lamination, adhesive lamination, sheeting, computerized cutting, and perforation of the varied textiles.
Our distribution service provides JIT inventory, whether shipping around the globe, throughout North America, or delivered regionally.
About us
In Feb 1988, with the confidence that comes from young entrepreneurism, 26-year-old John Regan created Fabric Services in Elkhart IN, primarily to supply fabric to the Van Conversion industry.
- Rented a 2,000 sq ft building, telling Leon Lynn, the building owner, that I could only give him a 6-month lease,” because if we didn’t need more room by then, we would be closed”.
- 7 months later, moved into a 10,000 sq ft facility on Middlebury St.
IN 1991 purchased our first facility, a 21,000 sq ft warehouse on CR #6 across from the airport.
- Bought our first flame laminator, immediately adding manufacturing to an already growing distribution business.
- Continued the “value added proposition” by including die cut parts to a limited number of customers.
- 1995 added a second warehouse location to accommodate business growth.
IN 1997 purchase acreage in neighboring Bristol IN, and built a 50,000 sq ft facility in order to bring distribution, flame lamination, computerize cutting, adhesive lamination and sheeting under one roof.
- Three years later added 30,000 sq ft establish the current 85,000 sq ft needs.
